Mrs Halinka's Creatures – little treasures sewn with love

In OWCA's world, softness takes many forms. Sometimes it's a warm merino sweater, sometimes a cosy blanket — and sometimes a toy hand-sewn by a very special person.

Mrs Halinka is a friend of mine (Marta's) who lives the calm rhythm of retirement. But in her hands and in her imagination there's still enormous energy and passion. Instead of putting her needle away, Mrs Halinka creates. From scraps of fabric that would end up in the bin in most households, she makes colourful creatures — little cats, dogs, rabbits and a whole herd of wonderful beings.

Each one is different, just as Mrs Halinka's imagination is always different. One has polka-dot patches, another has a looong tail, and another has a smile that melts your heart from the first glance. They all share one thing: they were sewn slowly, patiently and with enormous care.

When you buy one of Mrs Halinka's creatures, you get more than a soft toy.
