Merino wool:

✔ Naturally regulates temperature — never overheats
Merino has thousands of micro-channels that trap warm air. Think of it as natural air conditioning — or a natural hot water bottle, but considerably more elegant.
Acrylic:

Acrylic is just plastic. Literally — a synthetic fibre with no thermoregulatory properties whatsoever.
