Woolmark
The Woolmark certificate is one of the most recognised quality marks in the textile industry. Products carrying it undergo rigorous testing for durability, pilling resistance, dimensional stability and quality of construction. To earn the certification, a product must contain 100% wool. Woolmark guarantees that the wool comes from ethical farms and that the product meets high standards for wearing comfort. It is a globally recognised mark of premium raw material and production quality.
Mulesing Free
The Mulesing Free certificate means the wool was sourced humanely, without the use of mulesing — a painful procedure involving the removal of skin around a sheep's tail to prevent fly-strike infections. It is worth noting, however, that the Mulesing Free certification is declarative — meaning it is based on statements made by farmers and manufacturers rather than independent external audits.
Wool carrying this certificate comes from sheep raised according to animal welfare principles, which for many conscious brands represents a commitment to customers and a step towards more ethical production. Products labelled Mulesing Free demonstrate that a brand cares not only about material quality, but also about the responsible and humane treatment of animals.
Skin-friendly
The "Skin-friendly" certificate confirms that a product is free from substances harmful to health and can be safely used every day. Testing covers pesticide content, heavy metals, dyes and other chemicals. Products with this certification are hypoallergenic and comply with EU safety standards.
Safe for Babies
The "Child-Safe" or "Safe for Babies" certificate confirms that a product meets the highest safety standards. The material is free from toxic substances and other potentially harmful ingredients. Products with this certification are tested for safety in contact with a child's skin.
Oeko-Tex Class I
The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class I certificate is one of the most stringent safety standards for textiles. Class I means the product is safe even for infants and children under three years of age. Materials are tested for pesticide content, formaldehyde, heavy metals and allergenic dyes. Products with this certification meet the highest standards of safety and wearing comfort, confirming the absence of harmful substances in contact with the skin.
